How does your busines or functional team align to the key strategic initiatives in your organization?
I started as the Director of Training with a small budget and no direct reports. I had a rich field of subject matter experts - a team of experienced sky divers who were ready to join formation, and my job was to bring them together.
I led and designed the Lab Products sales force skills assessment as one of my first initiatives. We determined strengths and identified performance gaps, recommending solutions.
When you create accountability to the business, you visibly measure progress against established goals and then report those results frequently.
